The international airport is the Sardar Vallabhbhai International Airport in Ahmedabad. By Road: Gujarat is known for the best roadways in the Western India, which consists of several two to four lane highways. The roadway network connects to the entire country. By Rail: Gujarat is linked very well through the railways be it within the state or outside. It comes under the Western Railway Zone of the Indian Railways and consists of many railway stations. However, the busiest railway station is the Vadodara Railway Station as it lies on the Mumbai – Delhi Mainline. By Sea: One of the biggest port in the Western India is the Kandla Port in Gujarat that serves as the major international shipping terminal. Other important ports are: Port of Navlakhi, Port Pipavav Port of Veraval and more.
Only photo identity proofs issued by the government of India (Passport, Driving License, Voter Id, PAN card etc.) are needed to visit these beautiful sites. However, if you are a foreign tourist, you will still need to get permits for visiting these areas.
